Tournament play followed by analysis and the writing up of lessons learned is an essential part of the study of bridge. At this level, it is much more than a “game”: it is an intense intellectual and academic activity. Tournament time (including days, nights, and weekends) averaging about 12 hours per week, other class time about 6 hours per week, homework 4 hours per week.
