REL 312 Fall 2014 Kierkegaard: The Existentialist and Religious Thought of Søren Kierkegaard

This course will explore the existential and religious writings of the 19th century Danish thinker, Søren Kierkegaard, and compare them with similar existentialist and quasi-religious writings by such important thinkers as the fellow 19th century thinker, Friedrich Nietzsche.

Requirements/Evaluation: Evaluation will consist of a take-home midterm exam, active class participation and periodic brief presentations, and a final paper of 2500-3000 words
