Class Details
The objectives of this intensive seminar for studio majors are to strengthen both creative and technical skills (through weekly studio projects) and analytical and critical abilities. Students are also assigned readings and film/video viewings and required to visit local museum exhibits as part of the assignments.

Grading: yes pass/fail option, no fifth course option

Requirements/Evaluation:
evaluation will be based on the quality of work produced, participation in class discussions and critiques, successful completion of all assignments and attendance

Prerequisites:
three studio courses required for the major, including at least two which are 200 level or higher
Enrollment Preferences:
enrollment is limited to studio art majors (or permission of instructor)
Unit Notes:
Studio and History and Practice majors are required to take this course in the junior year unless studying abroad during the fall semester
