Class Details

This course provides a research opportunity for students who want to understand how psychologists ask compelling questions and find answers about behavior in the laboratory. Several faculty members, whose subfields include behavioral neuroscience, cognitive psychology, social psychology, clinical psychology, developmental psychology, and the psychology of education, will have student projects available. Since projects involve faculty research, interested students must consult with members of the Psychology Department before electing this course. Required activities: A minimum of 20 hours per week of research participation will be expected of each student.

Grading: pass/fail only
Requirements/Evaluation: Evaluation will be based on the quality of research participation, student's lab journal and either an oral presentation or a written 10 page report of the research project
