Class Details

This course focuses on the linguistic study of the Spanish sound system. Students will practice phonetic transcription and application of phonological rules. We will explore how pronunciation varies across dialects of the Spanish-speaking world and differences between English and Spanish phonetics and phonology. Laboratory work will be conducted with the goal of improving student pronunciation and analyzing native Spanish pronunciation. Offered in Spanish.
