Class Details

This Winter Study will give participants an opportunity to study and perform numbers for one or more singers in great American musicals and European light operas. You have sung a solo, you have sung in chorus–now practice the exacting art of singing an ensemble on stage. The course will culminate with a performance of ensembles, solos, and duets from a variety of musical theater shows. Other ensembles from European models may also be included. Singers, actors, and pianists are all welcome to participate. The course is intended especially for singers who wish to have some stage time, and for actors who wish to work on their singing. Adjunct Instructor Bio: Keith Kibler has performed under some of the finest directors currently working including David Alden, Peter Sellars, Galina Vishnevskaya. He sang a major role in Kurt Weill’s “Die Kleine Mahagonny” under Alvin Epstein with the American Repertory Theatre. He has been a featured soloist with the Boston Pops in American theater music.
